VoIP Phones or Voice Over Internet Protocol is a method that allows analogue audio signals to be turned into digital signals, this means they can then be transmitted over the internet. One of the biggest benefits of this technology is that it means that you can turn your standard internet connection into a way of making free phone calls. By using VoIP you can bypass the money grapping phone companies and ovoid paying land line charges. This technology could have a major affect on the phone companies and see some of them loose a lot of money (shame). Some new players have appeared over the recent year and companies like Skype are becoming a major player in commercial as well as the domestic field.
