EU Interference

Tue ,02/03/2010

The European Union has just ruled that Microsoft has to offer alternative internet browsers on its operating system, the operative word is there operating system. That is like saying ford has to offer the option of Vauxhall badges on their cars and is just another way of the EU interfering. The world will praise someone for creating a successful company but then moan and groan when they get to big and popular.

Bring back capital punishment

Tue ,23/02/2010

Why do we waste time and money housing criminals, the majority of which are a waste of space and will never reform and settle into normal society.  The UK is one of the softest countries when it comes to criminals, in fact the UK is harder on the victims than the criminals as its the victims that get screwed over and lose out while the criminal sits in a plush prison cell with all all the help support and facilities they require.

Politicians hate Britain

Mon ,15/02/2010

Between 1939 and 1945 around *383,667 UK and crown military personal died during the second would war, protecting this country, its people and preserving the British way of life.  Each year we commemorate the fallen souls of both world war I and II and remember some of the atrocities, we all have members in our family tree’s who have fought and died in the conflicts. Yet despite all this why is it that the British government is so intent on giving away our country and seeing our cultural disappear. Do politicians hate our country, it would seem so. Today’s politicians are nothing but greedy wasters trying to line their own pockets and get a good deal when they leave politics. They have no interest in our country or its British people and are happy to see our culture and way of life disappear forever. We don’t need to be part of Europe for anything other than trade and it is not in the best interest of the UK to join the Euro or any European constitutions or tax harmonisation.

Snow down Britain

Wed ,06/01/2010

Why is it that the UK comes to a grinding holt when we have a little snow. If Russia was the same they would still be living in the dark ages. Schools closing is fair enough and a plus as it keeps the roads free from all the barrage of parents dropping of their children but why do people have to panic and empty the shops out of food. It’s a little snow not a nuclear fallout. Train companies stop or delay services and taxi company’s hike there fairs up, some companies just double there fairs.

Essex Gritting Policy

Wed ,23/12/2009

Below is an email sent to Colchester county council to complain about the policy of gritting (or should I say lack of it) and their reply. I’m just glad that these people do not control our military, otherwise we would all be speaking German.

My Email (18 December 2009):

Vets: Profit vs. Animal Welfare

Thu ,17/12/2009

If you talk to a vet they will say they became a veterinarian because they wanted to help animals, so why is it that they charge such extortionate prices for some of the simplest of things. They certainly do not have the animal’s welfare or best interests at heart. How can they warrant charging £250 pounds for some x-rays or £46 pounds for some pills.  It seems any trip to the vet’s will have a major impact on your finances and it is usually the lower income families that are hit the hardest.

A Dame for Danny Minogue

Mon ,30/11/2009

A decent decision was finally made on Sunday’s X factor when the two annoying idiots known as JEDWARD were finally kicked off by the now wonderful Danny Minouge, who in my opinion should be knighted. The show is barely watchable as it is without having to see those two nitwits prancing around on the screen. My thought as was that of Danny Minogue was that the show was a singing competition and not all about the entertainment of jumping around and wearing daft outfits.

Climate ‘is a major cause’ of conflict

Fri ,27/11/2009

The latest research by US researchers found that conflict was about 50% more likely in unusually warm years and climatic factors have been cited as the reason for several of the recent conflicts.

Professor of African Studies at the UK’s Bradford University Nana Poku said “I think it strengthens the argument for ensuring we compensate the developing world for climate change, especially Africa, and to begin looking at how we link environmental issues to governance,” he said.

“If the argument is that the trend towards rising temperatures will increase conflict, then yes we need to do something around climate change, but more fundamentally we need to resolve the conflicts in the first place.”

Bank Charges

Tue ,24/11/2009

With the supreme court expected to decided if fair trading watchdogs have the power to supervise bank charges due on Wednesday, there is already talk of what the banks will be doing if or should we say when they lose. It seems to me that banks want everything their own way but it is about time things changed. If they do lose then it is expected that they will start charging to use cash machines, in which case I shall just stop using the ATM and go into the branch, which will mean more hassle and expense for them. If they want to charge for using a cheque then I won’t use cheques anymore (they are pretty redundant anyway). Why should I have to pay to use the services of a bank, they and society have made it difficult not to have a bank account and after all I am the one giving them money to invest and make a profit from and they make a healthy profit at that.

Save the Planet, don’t make me laugh!

Wed ,18/11/2009

The big question is how do we save the planet, well if you are a labour politician then the easy answer is we tax, we tax and we tax. On November 1st the government’s air passenger duty tax has been increased in the first of two rises, which will mean that you and I will be paying up to £30 more.

The price of short haul flights rises by £1 and on business and first class journey’s over 6,000 miles up from £80 to £110. The government have said that it is environmental reasons for the rise, so it is good to know that they are looking after us.
