‘Don’t give up’

A woman in South Korea has just or should I say finally passed her written test after her 950th attempt, yes 950 is what you read.  The 68 year old grandmother Cha Sa-soon spent four years and £2,600 on test and application fees.

She scored 60 out of 100 pints in the written exam, she now needs to pass the practical exam, but I fear that the fact she took four years to pass a written test she may actually die before she passes the practical test.

Started on 28th May 1907 the TT (Tourist Trophies) is a 37 ¾ mile time-trial race held on the Isle of Man, a 220 square mile island in the Irish Sea. Now in its second decade the TT tests both man and machine to the full. All was made possible by the Act of Tynwald (the parliament of the Isle of Man), the 1904 law allowed for the closure of the roads for Gordon Bennett motorcycle race  on Uk roads and the first race was called Auto-Cycle Tourist Trophy and organised by the Auto-Cycle Club over 10 laps if the St. John’s Course of 15.8 miles. Four years later motorcycles moved to the legendary Mountain Course.
