Family History – Part 2
Tue ,08/09/2009The next stages of research into your family history can be one of the most frustrating because you will be looking for people who are no longer alive and some of the records both on-line and at society’s can send you on a wild goose chase. It can also start to get expensive as some on-line sites will only give you part information such as surname, an initial and if you are lucky a date, usually the year. So ways to save money are to order your certificates from the UK government site and not private on-line services, just use them to get the GRO numbers. Sites such as Ancestry offer a 14 day free trial, but there is nothing to say how many times you can sign-up for the free trial, just remember to cancel your subscription on the last day.
